For residential buildings, the current star rating required by the

Building Code of Australia is 6 Stars.

To produce these reports we use the accredited energy rating software such as First Rate 5.This program takes into account the orientation, location and materials of construction. By determining the heating and cooling loads of the home, we produce the star rating result. We will provide stamped rated plans & report with all the required optimisation to achieve 6 star rating.

We also conduct section J reports and stamped drawings for commercial structures (Class 2-Class9) as per BCA Volume 1 Deem-To-Satisfy Requirements. The assessment will indicate the materials used in the construction and show the additional requirements to achieve the minimum standard as required in section J 1. Section J2 refers to the glazing calculator which will show the level of performance needed for the glazing to meet the minimum standard. Section J3 also indicates the additional requirements to the envelope perimeter. Section J5, J6, J7 & J8 is not specific to the project but show the minimum standards that are required .A lighting calculator will also be included in the report.
